	The Academic Workflow and Compensation team supports faculty, lecturers, researchers, and academic appointees by managing appointment processing, compensation changes, and contract administration. This group ensures compliance with Academic Personnel policies while facilitating accurate and timely pay for UC Merced’s teaching and research community.
	Staff & Student Workflow & Compensation
	The Staff & Student Workflow and Compensation team administers transactions for career, limited, contract, and student employees. This includes hiring, pay adjustments, position changes, and leave processing. The team ensures compliance with UC policy and collective bargaining agreements while delivering accurate and efficient payroll services to UC Merced staff.
	Student Employment Services
	We support UC Merced’s undergraduate students in finding on-campus job opportunities that help fund their education and build valuable work experience. Our team guides both students and hiring managers through a standardized hiring process, offering consultation, training, and resources to ensure a smooth and informed recruitment experience.
	Human Capital Management (HCM) Systems Support
	As a subunit of Payroll Services, HCM Systems Support maintains and improves UC Merced’s financial and HR systems. We focus on integrating new technologies, resolving system issues, and ensuring seamless operations across platforms—offering smart, responsive solutions to meet the evolving needs of the campus community.
