Mark your calendars – April 13-17 is Student Employee Appreciation Week!  

Designated by the National Student Employment Association, National Student Employment Week is celebrated annually to recognize the invaluable service of student employees.   Student employees perform invaluable services with enthusiasm, dedication, and initiative.   

Campus departments are encouraged to recognize and celebrate the valuable contributions of their student employees.  Not sure how to celebrate your student employees? Try these ideas:

Explore the Recognition Toolkit for low‑cost and free ideas to help show your student employees how valuable they are to your team and the University.

Enter the Department Decorating Contest to showcase your department’s creativity and appreciation for your student employees. Departments may decorate an office, department space, or a student employee workspace.

  • Submit Entry Form by 5 pm on Thursday, April 9, 2026.
  • Keep Decorations Up from April 13-18, 2026.
  • Prizes are available for winning décor!
