Welcome to Payroll Services

UC Merced Payroll Services manages the university's payroll functions, working closely with the UCPath Center for the processing and managing of payroll, benefits, and human resources transactions. Payroll Services has specific roles and responsibilities (pdf) for a variety of processes:

Processing of payroll and payroll adjustments.
Ensuring timely and accurate payment to employees.
Administering the Time Reporting System (TRS) for employees to submit their work hours.
Managing student employment and providing information and resources related to student employment opportunities and procedures.
Providing campus with support and guidance on payroll related matters.
Supporting Human Capital Management systems.

Notice: W-2 and 1095-C Access is available in UCPATH. For instructions on how to access form see the W-2 in UCPath Portal.

If you have separated from UC Merced, you will access UCPath through the former employee access site located on the main UCPath location access list. If you are having issues accessing this site, please reach out to UCPath Center directly at (855) 982-7284.
Former employees living outside the U.S. cannot complete multi-factor authentication (MFA) and therefore cannot access the UC Former Employee Portal.

At this time, there is no option to bypass MFA to enable access to the UC Former Employee Portal for those who only have an international phone number. Workaround for International Former Employees. Until a permanent fix is implemented, former employees outside the U.S. who need documents should contact UCPath for support. UCPath associates can assist and provide the necessary documents via secure email. If you have specific cases that were closed without a resolution, please include the case numbers for the cases to be reviewed.
