We are a team of payroll professionals dedicated to providing excellent services to our faculty, staff, students, post doctorals, lecturers and scholars. We are committed to the University's mission and dedicate our services: ​

  • to ensure timely and accurate administration of payroll in accordance with Federal, State and University rules, regulations and policies
  • administering and remitting employee deductions
  • training staff of the payroll systems and updating the campus community to the changes in rules, regulations and policies
  • promoting the use of online self service for tax withholding, direct deposit enrollment/change, earning statements and W-2

Elect for Electronic For W-2 and Form 1095-C - If you haven't done so, please log onto At Your Service Online (AYSO) to elect for electronic W-2 and 1095-C. Electronic election saves paper, reduces cost to the UC, quick & secure and allows you, the employee, to receive your documents earlier for a head start on your tax return.

December Early Timesheet Submission - For Pay Period 12/04/16 - 12/17/16, employee timesheet submission is due, Saturday, 12/17/16.

Check Disbursement During Campus Closure on December 28, 2016

2016 Campus Winter Curtailment UC Merced will officially close for the 2016 Campus Winter Curtailment for 11 days, beginning Friday, December 23, 2016 thru onday, January 2, 2017. UC Merced will reopen on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.

The closure period includes 4 days of University paid holiday (December 23, 26, 30 and January 2) and 3 days of curtailment days (December 27, 28, 29); where accrued vacation, compensatory time off or leave without pay will need to be used.

Increase in OASDI Limit in 2017 for OASDI - Effective January 1, 2017, the OASDI Limit will increase from $118,500 in 2016 to $127,200 in 2017. There are no changes to the Medicare rates.

The rate does not reflect the additional 0.9 percent in Medicare taxes certain high-income taxpayers are required to pay. See IRS information on this topic.
