Biweekly employee timesheets timesheets for pay period end date 12/07/14 – 12/20/14 (check date 12/30/14) are DUE on Wednesday, 12/17/14 (employees will need to estimate time worked for 12/18/14 - 12/20/14).

Employees: Please submit your timesheet by Wednesday, 12/17/14 to ensure you are paid timely

 OASDI Rate Limit in 201511/7/2014

​​​Effective January 1, 2015:

  • The OASDI rate will remain at 6.2%.
  • The taxable salary wage base for Social Security increased from $117,000 to $118,500.
  • The Medicare tax rate will remain at 1.45% since there is no wage base (but an additional medicare tax of 0.9% to a maximum of 2.35% applies to employees who earn more than $200,000).

 Payroll Time Reporting (PTR) System9/26/2014

​For those UC Merced employees who have an Academic Appointment (i.e. Graduate Student Researcher - GSR) and Skilled Trade (SETC) Bargaining Unit Employees will continue to use the Payroll Time Reporting (PTR) System to submit their timesheets.

Below are some step-by-step instructions on "How Do I" do certain PTR functions.

 New Time Reporting System (TRS)8/4/2014

​UC Merced is transitioning to a new time keeping system at the end of September 2014.  The Time Reporting System (TRS) will better position our campus to efficiently meet future time keeping requirements and has many other benefits.  Come to a briefing to hear how our new time keeping system will impact you and how to get training.  The briefing is scheduled for August 11, 2014 in COB 105 from 9:30 – 10:30 A.M.

TRS Go Live September 28, 2014 for Biweekly and October 1, 2014 for Monthly  - Below is a schedule for your first TRS timesheet submission. Click here​ to access TRS to create and submit your timesheet.

Supervisors:  If you need to make supervisor and/or back up supervisor changes, please use the Primary/Back Up Supervisor Change Form.

 UCRP Contribution Rates Change Effective July 1, 20146/16/2014

Starting July 1, 2014, the University will pay 14 percent of pay, up from 12 percent, and contributions for faculty and staff will rise to 8 percent of pay, up from 6.5 percent.  Faculty and staff in the 2013 Tier - those hired or rehired on or after July 1, 2013 - will continue to contribute 7 percent of pay.  Click here to read more.
